Ms. Roche has spent over 20 years successfully resolving disputes – both as a mediator and advocate. She applies her deep knowledge and understanding of law firms and law-related businesses, to create a customized mediation experience for lawyers and law firms looking to resolve a wide range of critical issues related to law firm partnership disputes.
Ms. Roche began her legal career as a litigator and trial attorney in San Francisco, handling a wide variety of commercial disputes and complex litigation matters – so she understands litigation, how disputes get escalated, and how they get resolved. Ms. Roche spent decades using those skills, and her significant experiences with law firms, to develop a practice focused on providing lawyers and law firms with counsel in all areas of law firm practice management, including, firm formation, structuring and growth strategies, legal ethics counsel, practice and risk management, and law firm transitions, including partner separations and law firm dissolutions.
Today, the firm she co-founded has emerged as an industry leader in the law of lawyering in California, with an exclusive focus on providing lawyers and law firms the insight, analysis, and counsel they need to succeed:

Ms. Roche is a lecturer at Berkeley Law teaching classes on the Legal Profession, is the former Chair of the State Bar of California’s Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct (“COPRAC”) and actively involved in other professional legal ethics organizations, and a frequent writer on legal ethics and law firm risk management topics for California lawyers. Ms. Roche also serves as a consultant and expert witness on legal and ethical issues related to law firm departures and attorney transitions.
